Carnival of Mazatlán – February
Considered one of the largest carnivals in Mexico, this event takes place in February and attracts thousands of visitors every year. For several days, the streets of the Historic Center are filled with color, music, and parades, featuring floats, dance troupes, and elaborate costumes.
Music Festival in Honor of Lola Beltrán - March
During March, a "Music Festival" is held in honor of the singer from Mazatlán, Lola Beltrán.
Book Fair - March / April
In March, the traditional "Book Fair" begins, featuring book presentations, roundtable discussions, the sale and promotion of various topics' books, along with cultural events. The fair extends into the month of April.
Holy Week - April
During Holy Week, the Historic Center of Mazatlán becomes a popular destination for tourists looking to enjoy the beaches and religious festivities. Processions and outdoor theatrical performances depicting the Passion and Death of Jesus take place.
International Opera Festival of Mazatlán - April
This festival takes place during the month of April and gathers renowned opera singers and musicians from around the world. Concerts and operas are held at the Ángela Peralta Theater and other venues in the Historic Center, providing classical music enthusiasts with a unique experience.
International Dance Festival - April/May
During April/May, various performances are offered. An international choreographer and dancers from across the country are welcomed.
Sinaloa Arts Festival - October
During October, plays, operas, ballets, and concerts are presented in the city's theaters, as well as various venues in Culiacán, Los Mochis, Guasave, and Navolato.
Mazatlán Cultural Festival - October/December
The festival also showcases plays, ballet, opera, and musical concerts. The events take place during October, November, and December.
Immaculate Conception - December
On December 8th, the Immaculate Conception is celebrated in the Port of Mazatlán, featuring music, dances, and a procession.
